In their typical dramatic style, the Ephrata Tigers defeated Burlington-Edison 58-56 last night to win the Class 2A state championship. Winning its second barnburner in as many nights, the Tigers made the plays when it mattered last night to vanquish a tough B-E squad. Showing unflappable poise you’d expect from a team with nine seniors, Ephrata incredibly rose off the mat again. When Burlington-Edison started to crack late in the fourth quarter, the Tigers stood tall.
