Tuesday was my first day back from a four day weekend and I was excited to be covering a soccer game on a warm afternoon in Cashmere.

I enjoy shooting soccer because there are many great possible situations for good photography. With afternoon lighting the first half as well as unusual backgrounds occasionally, I came back with a couple of good, story-telling pictures as well as an interesting gallery of 30+ pictures.

Choosing from the photos I shot at the game, one or two pictures that would tell the story of the game, I had to go with the game-winning shot even though I think other pictures from the game were more interesting and imaginative.

That’s a nice feature about a photo gallery - you get to decide if I made the right decision on what picture appears in the newspaper.
