A different approach
Went to the Superoval on Saturday night, getting there a half hour before some trick motorcycle riders were planning on holding the first of three shows that night between the normal racing program. Met the four riders and got their names with descriptions for writing a caption after the performance.
Their show was mainly a series of jumps over a motor home they brought with them and I focussed on that part of the show from the infield. Pretty standard photographs:
Then I noticed a Horizon flight going past but the timing was a little late:
The show went on for quite a while, giving me the chance to think of something new and interesting. What about a slow shutter speed of one coming off the ramp? After many attempts, I got one sharp:
I like it because it’s different and it still gives the feeling of going up and up, something important to the story.
